- Nikolai Pirogov Memorial Medical University, Vinnitsa is located in Vinnytsia, Ukraine was founded in 1921 that imparts medical education to students from both Ukraine and various other countries.

- The Vinnitsa Pharmaceutical Institute (1921)
- The Vinnitsa Branch of the All-Ukrainian Institute of Correspondence Medical Education (1930)
- The Vinnitsa Evening Industrial Medical Institute (1932)
- The Vinnitsa Medical Institute (1934).
- In 1960 the institute was named after Nikolai Pirogov.
- Since 1961, the university has been training foreign nationals.
- In 1984 it was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honour.
- In 1994, Vinnitsa Medical Institute has been certified and accredited by IV level of accreditation as a university.
- In 2002, the university acquired national status
- At present, the training of specialists is carried out at 53 chairs where the competent scientific-pedagogical staff works and among them.
In the university almost 6250 students are trained which includes 2080 foreigners and in total about 44000 doctors are there, from which 2100 are specialists of the highest level, possessing the Candidate’s and Ph.D., M.D. degrees, including more than 7500 foreign citizens from foreign countries of Europe, Asia, Middle East, Latin America, Africa have been trained.
The teaching staff consists of 645 people, including 89 doctors of sciences, 385 candidates of sciences, 69 professors, 248 associate professors, and 172 teachers.
